The Internet Services Section in the Division of Information Systems works together with the Design Section in the Division of Research Services to create custom websites. The combination of the graphic expertise and creativity of the Design Section, together with the cutting-edge website technology used by the Internet Services Section, results in visually exciting websites that offer advanced internet capability.
All websites are developed using Drupal, a content management system that lets you easily update and add new content to your website. Various sections of the website, such as group members and publications, can be populated automatically from Weizmann Institute databases to ensure that the information is always up to date.
Those users who have an old website that was developed in html code are welcome to contact us about upgrading their site into a content management system that will allow them independent control.
Waiting time is a function of the complexity of the site and the work load of the Internet Services section.
Research Lab Template
For those researchers who want or require an immediate response to their request for a website, the Internet Services Section has developed a Research Lab template. The template was developed in cooperation with the graphics section in the Research Services Division.
Setting up a wiki
We also offer the option of setting up a wiki using mediawiki software.
