Adva was a PhD student who is researching ceria as a hydrogenation catalyst, under the supervision of Dr. Baran Eren in the Department of Chemical & Biological Physics at the Weizmann Institute. She has a BSc and MSc in Biophysics from Bar-Ilan University.

Adva researched the hydrogenation of CO2 to methanol by ceria surfaces. This reaction raises the possibility of recycling atmospheric CO2 back into fuel, such as methanol, with the potential to alleviate the impacts of climate change.

Adva was involved in the Weizmann Women in Chemistry Forum and served on the management committee.
