Tadmor
Guy Tadmor is a PhD student in computational biology under the supervision of Dr. David Zeevi in the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences at the Weizmann Institute. He has a BSc in Marine Science from the School for Marine Science at Ruppin Academic Center and MSc in Biochemistry from the Weizmann Institute of Science.
In his PhD work, Guy investigates the effect of anthropogenic pollution on environmental microbiomes, aiming to discover novel pathways to degrade pollutants using microbes. Currently, he is developing a novel computational pipeline to detect these pathways by analyzing evolutionary selection patterns within complex microbial communities. In parallel, he is developing a method to estimate micro-algae growth rates from metagenomic samples.
