Prof. Michal Leskes’s lab - Department of Molecular Chemistry and Material Science

Shakked is a PhD student researching Li-ion dynamics on electrode surfaces using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), under the supervision of Prof. Michal Leskes at the Department of Molecular Chemistry and Material Science at Weizmann Institute. She has a BSc in Chemistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and MSc in Chemistry from the Weizmann Institute.

In my PhD research, Shakked is working to elucidate the Li-ion dynamics occurring at the electrode-electrolyte interface in Li-ion batteries and correlate them with the surface chemistry and the Li-ion solvation structure. Understanding the structure-function relationship of electrode and electrolyte components is crucial for the design of robust and effective Li-ion batteries.

Shakked is a member of the management teams of the Weizmann Orchestra and the Weizmann Women in Chemistry (WWIC) forum.
