The digital signature service enables digital document signing. Digital signature essentially adds a certificate of document authenticity – meaning that the identity of the person signing the document is proven beyond any doubt.

Digital signature additionally helps ensure that the content of a document is complete and authentic, and cannot be changed once the signature has been applied.

Registration to the digital signature service is to be performed via Internal Services, in the user service registration window.

The first application incorporating digital signing of documents (specifically of experiment participant scientific consent forms) is FlaskData/IRB. Scientists and research laboratory associates involved in the FlaskData/IRB project are required to perform advance registration for a digital certificate.

Additional Institute business processes will incorporate the service in future.

For further information, review the service registration guide (in Hebrew, intended for administrators or those serving on their behalf).
