How to order

Sandbox

Sandbox equipment and consumables can ONLY be used by trained scientists following a workshop.
WIS users wishing to use the Sandbox facility should first be registered in the system by providing the following details to the unit staff:
a. UserID of user
b. UserID of PI
c. Budget number (12 digits)
Once the user is registered, a session should be scheduled via "Internal Services". Under "NGS BS" go to Sandbox and select the time slots you wish to use. Note that there are three identical working stations (Sandbox 1, Sandbox 2, Sandbox 3).

Nextseq 500

Use of the Nextseq 500 is divided into 3:
1. Independent users – people that are familiar with the Nexteq machine can use the machine following registration in the internal services. In the first use, coordinate an instruction session with Muriel Chemla, muriel.chemla@weizmann.ac.il. Please follow the Nextseq 500 guidelines.
2. Sandbox users – users of the sandbox facility will be guided to run the Nextseq machine according to their protocol. Please follow the Nextseq 500 guidelines.
3. Others – those who wish to submit 'ready to run' samples should contact Muriel Chemla, muriel.chemla@weizmann.ac.il, and provide the following information: library type, format of illumina parameters required (Rd1, Rd2, i5, i7), the complexity of the library (number of samples) and a TapeStation profile. Sample for run should be provided as 20 l at 4nM. Please notice: you are responsible for submitting a suitable ready to run sample. The biological services will not be held responsible for any decrease in yield due to sequence biases, low complexity regions or other problems in the library.

For all users:
Kits to be used with the Nextseq 500 should be purchased independently from Danyel biotech. The kits should be delivered directly to Levine building with the group name indicated. When you make an order for a kit, please notify Muriel Chemla, muriel.chemla@weizmann.ac.il.
WIS users wishing to register for the Nextseq should first be registered in the system by providing the following details to the unit staff:
a. UserID of user
b. UserID of PI
c. Budget number (12 digits)

Once the user is registered, a session should be scheduled via "Internal Services". Under "NGS BS" go to Nextseq and select the time slots you wish to use it. Note that there is a minimum of 12 hr period for a session.
